Is writing a double 5th stop on violin/viola bad?

Just wondering...
I am writing a string quartet and was wondering if writing a double perfect 5th stop is a good or bad idea on the violin and viola. In the book I use to check these things, all the intervals are mentioned but not the perfect 5th. Why is this?
